Marvelli, Kamas and Park City’s new Italian artisan bread company, will introduce itself to the community with a free launch party featuring focaccia tastings, charcuterie and cheese, and a chance to meet the baker from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Monday, July 20, at Mountain Town Olive Oil Co., 613 Ma in Street. The event pairs Marvelli’s freshly baked focaccia with Mountain Town Olive Oil Co.’s new charcuterie and cheese offerings, and tastings are free.  Marvelli said its goal is to “bring back good bread.” Loaves are made with imported Italian flour and Semolina, ultra premium extra virgin olive oil from Mountain Town Olive Oil, imported Italian yeast, Sicilian sea salt, rosemary and local water. The company draws on Italian roots. Founder Emile’s family traces to Genoa — the  birthplace of focaccia — and his culinary training includes time under James Beard Award–winning chef Tony Mantuano at Chicago’s Spiaggia. After a career in Hollywood television production, he settled in Park City to pursue a lifelong passion for bread.  “Bread has been made with a handful of simple ingredients for thousands of years — and then America changed it,” said Emile. “We’re bringing it back to what it should be: real flour, real olive oil, nothing to hide. When you taste it, your body knows the  difference.”  The launch party is hosted by Mountain Town Olive Oil Co., which will debut new charcuterie and cheese offerings alongside Marvelli’s bread at the event. Marvelli said it conducted an extensive national search for the best extra virgin olive oil and ultimately concluded that the Park City business had some of the highest quality oils in the country.  The post Italian artisan bread company to debut in Park City with free Main Street tasting party  appeared first on Park Record. ...read more read less
