NDOT Releases Traffic Fatality Numbers for June 2026

The Nebraska Department of Tr
ansportation says six of the fifteen vehicle occupants killed were not using seatbelts, six were using a seatbelt, and three had seatbelt usage marked as unknown. Twelve of the fatalities were in rural locations. NDOT says There were 20 fatalities in June of 2025.

There were two fatalities on the interstate, twelve on other highways, and seven on local roads.
Four of the fatalities were motorcyclists.
One of the fatalities was a pedestrian.
One of the fatalities was driving a utility terrain vehicle (UTV).
