Police are on the lookout for as many as four suspected shooters after, officials say, two men were hospitalized in separate shootings that happened across North Philadelphia late Monday night.
According to police, investigators learned about the first incident at about 10:18 p.m. when a 35-year-
old man was dropped off at a hospital in North Philadelphia after he had been shot.
This 35-year-old man, who was hospitalized in stable condition, told officers he had been shot when confronted by three men dressed in all-black clothing at the intersection of 25th and Huntingdon streets in North Philly, officials said.
Police said all of the suspects in this incident were armed with handguns.
However, police did not immediately provide a motive or any other additional information in this incident.
Then, just minutes later, at about 10:26 p.m. on Monday, police said, officers responding to a call for a person with a gun along the 200 block of West Duncan Avenue located a 37-year-old man who had been shot in the abdomen.
This man, officials said, was taken to a nearby hospital where he was listed in critical condition.
In this case, police said, the man was shot by an unknown man who was armed with a firearm, but officials provided no further details on the suspected shooter or motive in this incident.
No arrests have yet been made in either of these incidents.
But, officials said, investigations are ongoing into both shootings.
Police are asking anyone with information regarding either of these shootings to contact the Philadelphia Police Department’s Shooting Investigation Group at 215-686-8270 or dial 911.
