PINEVILLE, N.C. – Family and friends are remembering a five-year-old boy, stabbed to death, allegedly by his father in Pineville. A GoFundMe page calls Khalil Echoles a “sweet, bright, and joyful little boy…whose smile could light up every room.” Investigators say 31-year-old Jehaaz-Akil Echoles broke into his ex-girlfriend’s apartment and killed the little boy.
