Friends and family are looking for Gabriel Angelo Carreon, a San Francisco man who went missing. According to his husband, Carreon was last seen Tuesday in the Castro neighborhood.   Gabriel Carreon’s husband, Ryan Mahaffey, said the last time Carreon was seen was Tuesday morning in the Castro neighborhood. According to San Francisco police, Carreon was on his way to see a movie. Mahaffey says they’ve called 20 different hotels in the city, checked San Francisco hospitals and even checked with an immigration attorney friend to see if he may have been detained by ICE. Carreon is a legal resident with a green card; Mahaffey says he’s not in ICE custody, so his friends have launched a full-on search, including a Facebook page and sharing those “missing” posters. “He’s about 5 foot 7. 170 pounds. He currently has pink hair. He was last seen headed toward the Castro Muni station wearing a backpack and possibly a red baseball cap,” John Shinogle, a friend, said. Shinogle is one of the friends helping with the search. He was also the best man in Carreon and Mahaffey’s wedding last year. He says Carreon is very active in neighborhood sports teams and organizations. Mahaffey said he became concerned Tuesday, when Carreon didn’t show up for an afternoon doctor’s appointment. Right now, they just want him to be found safe. “We love you and we want to bring you home safely and we’re working tirelessly to do so,” Shinogle said. Anyone with information is encouraged to call San Francisco police, call 650-701-3540 or log onto the Facebook page. ...read more read less
