LINCOLN COUNTY, N.C. – One driver is dead after a fatal accident occurred on NC 27 near Long Circle in Lincoln County on Wednesday, July 8th. 52-year-old Kevin Long was traveling west on NC 27 when Long crossed the center line causing a head-on collision.  As a result of the crash, the Ford caug ht fire. Long’s vehicle caught fire as a result of the crash. Long was airlifted to the hospital with serious injuries. Tracy Mosteller, 59, of Vale was driving the other vehicle and died at the scene.
