INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Wet and stormy weather returns for the end of the work week and start of the weekend. A FLOOD WATCH has been posted for Southern Indiana.
WEDNESDAY EVENING/NIGHT:
Fair skies and quiet conditions are in order after spotty rain/storms fade awa
y across Southern Indiana. Look for lows in the upper 60s to around 70.
THURSDAY:
Partly cloudy, warm, more humid with afternoon highs in the upper 80s to around 90. A few spotty to scattered storms could pop up during the daytime heating.
THURSDAY EVENING/NIGHT:
Scattered rain storms are more likely. Some could produce gusty winds and heavy rainfall that could lead to flooding. A LEVEL 1 severe risk has been issued for most of Indiana with a LEVEL 2 for locations south of Bloomington. This area is where odds are highest for damaging wind gusts.
Some locations south of Indy could pick up several inches of rain between Thursday night and Sunday. A FLOOD WATCH has been posted for southern Indiana from Thursday afternoon through Saturday night.
FRIDAY:
Additional scattered showers storms are possible during the day. There could be some additional heavy rain gusty storms across Southern Indiana. Highs should top out in the mid 80s.
WEEKEND:
Lingering showers storms are possible on Saturday with just a small chance of a storm on Sunday. Highs in the mid 80s are likely both days with overnight lows in the mid to upper 60s. The humidity level is expected to drop a bit so it won’t be as muggy overall. The average high/low right now is 85/66 and we shouldn’t be too far off from those numbers.
EARLY NEXT WEEK:
Dry conditions remain on track along with warmer temperatures in the upper 80s to lower 90s.
