The City of Plano is inviting the media and the public to see the proposed Willow Bend District that could one day be the home of the Stars. The city is recruiting the Stars from Victory Park in Dallas. The Stars want a new arena and an entertainment district surrounding it, like Arlington’ s. The Mavericks also plan to leave Victory Park after 2030. The community open house is Wednesday, June 8, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and Tuesday, July 14, from 6 to 8 p.m., at The Shops at Willow Bend. The entrance will be near Equinox and Crate Barrel. The community open house will also offer a self-guided virtual tour until July 22. The city says the next steps in the development process are traffic modeling to understand how the area will impact traffic.
