Officials identified a man who died after going paddleboarding in a Chester County reservoir on the 4th of July as severe storms slammed the region. On Saturday, July 4th, three people — including Sean O’Connor — went paddleboarding at Marsh Creek State Park in Upper Uwchlan Township, Pen nsylvania. Around the same time, storms bringing heavy rain and wind swept through the area and the paddleboarders were trapped in the water. Officials responded to the scene and rescued two of the paddleboarders shortly before 10 p.m. that night. O’Connor remained missing, however. Officials said O’Connor’s body was later recovered from the water early Sunday morning. The Chester County Coroner’s Office identified O’Connor as the victim but has not yet released a cause or manner of death.
