Local pastors and priests are gathering tonight at Cole Park for a citywide prayer event to give thanks for recent rain that delayed a Level 1 water emergency and to pray for more rain to come.Sheriff J.C. Hooper and Mayor Paul ette Guajardo plan to attend the gathering.The event starts at 6 p.m. and is open to the public. The event is expected to last around an hour.
