A man was found fatally shot early Tuesday in Oakland, police said. Officers responded to reports of a person down near Old Quarry Loop and Leona Drive around 6:15 a.m., according to the Oakland Police Department. Upon arrival, officers discovered a man suffering from at least one apparent gu nshot wound. The man was pronounced dead at the scene, police reported. His identity is being withheld until his family can be notified. The department’s Homicide Division is investigating the circumstances surrounding the death.
