A woman died early Sunday after being shot near the intersection of Bonita Avenue and Sunny Court, and police have taken a person of interest into custody. Officers responded to a report of a shooting at approximately 1:20 a.m. and found the woman suffering from at least one gunshot wound, accord ing to the San Jose Police Department. She was transported to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead. Authorities said a person of interest was arrested near the scene.
