Seven people were injured after a fire broke out in the trash chute of an apartment building in Greater Grand Crossing on Saturday morning.Firefighters responded to the high-rise building in the first block of West 71st Street around 6 a.m., the Chicago Fire Department said.Fire officials said the f ire started in the building’s trash chute.The building was evacuated but seven people were injured in the fire and hospitalized, fire officials said.
