Mayor Cherelle Parker will host Philadelphia’s annual Celebration of Freedom ceremony Saturday morning, marking the city’s official start of its Independence Day celebration. During the ceremony, Parker will present Philadelphia Freedom Awards to seven civic leaders “whose lives and work em body the enduring ideals of freedom through civic leadership, public service, faith, philanthropy, the arts, public safety, and restorative justice.” The ceremony will take place at the National Constitution Center from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 4, with admissions free and open to the public. Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. NBC10 will stream the ceremony live at 10 a.m. Below is a list of the awards and recipients: Ambassador David L.
