A flash flood warning was issued by the National Weather Service on Wednesday at 8:35 p.m. in effect until 11:45 p.m. for Herkimer County."At 8:35 p.m., Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Up to 1 inch of rain has fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly," states the weather service.
