A man is facing charges after allegedly crashing into a home in Union County last weekend, according to the sheriff’s office. Deputies said a GMC Yukon was traveling on Plyler Mill Road in Monroe when it left the road and crashed into a nearby home. The homeowners were inside at the time of the collision but were not injured. The driver, Gustavo Sanchez, and a female passenger, Naesha Baucom, fled on foot after the crash, deputies said. Deputies tracked Sanchez down and arrested him hours after the incident. He has been charged with felony hit and run and driving while license revoked.  The North Carolina State Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
