The Malin to bring hospitalityfocused coworking concept to Park City this fall
Jun 30, 2026
A new coworking space is set to open in Park City this fall, aiming to serve the city’s growing community of entrepreneurs, remote workers and companies.
The Malin, a New York-based coworking brand, will expand to the West with a Park City location, brought in partnership with local restaurate
ur and real estate developer Mark Shrayber of WorkPCU, LLC.
Minutes from historic Main Street and Deer Valley Resort’s East Village, the space has been designed to accommodate hybrid work while also serving as a destination for company retreats, off-site meetings and local professionals.
When it opens, The Malin Park City, at 11,000 square feet, will feature 23 private offices, 12 dedicated desks, three meeting rooms and 14 phone booths.
Shrayber said the project grew out of his own experience after relocating to Park City five years ago, realizing that a professional workspace was more difficult to find than expected.
“(I) started working from home for the first time,” he said. “I didn’t love it, so I went looking for a solution, and along the way I came across many others who felt the same.”
He said he found a community filled with accomplished founders, investors and creatives but lacking a workspace that reflected the quality of businesses operating in the area.
“Park City has world-class talent, (like) founders, investors, creatives, but nowhere that matches the caliber of the work being done here,” he said. So he decided to build one. “It took longer than I’d hoped to find a building of the right size, but good things come to those who wait.”
After discovering The Malin, Shrayber said he was drawn to its philosophy of hospitality, and how design and service were important in their spaces.

The Malin founder and CEO Ciarán McGuigan said he found that value reflected in Park City itself.
“The boundary between professional and personal life is blurring in a real way, and people want environments that allow both to coexist,” he said. “Park City’s defining characteristics, ambition, creativity, wellness and access to nature, made it a natural fit.”
As the local development partner, Shrayber said his role has centered on connecting the national brand with Park City’s existing business community.
“My focus has been on making the introductions, bringing in the local founders and companies who’ll define the early membership,” he said.
For McGuigan, Shrayber’s local knowledge was essential to bringing the concept to Park City.
“Mark has a genuine understanding of the Park City community: who lives here, how they spend their time and what they value,” he said. “Whenever we enter a new market, we want to approach it thoughtfully rather than impose a formula.”
He added that Shrayber’s background in real estate development and hospitality helped shape the project.
“There was a shared belief that spaces should feel welcoming and personal, yet still functional,” McGuigan said. “His local insight was incredibly valuable in making sure The Malin could hit those marks for the Park City community.”
Rather than expanding into cities simply because of their size, McGuigan said the company looks for communities where thoughtful workplace design can complement the way people already live and work.
“It’s a natural evolution for us. We’ve never been focused on cities for cities’ sake,” he said. “We’re focused on creating exceptional places for people to work, connect and belong, wherever that happens to be.”
McGuigan said his company’s design goals, like natural light, “grounded” materials and thoughtful layouts, are complementary to Park City’s own natural beauty.
He and Shrayber both expect the space to resonate with locals. Anyone from entrepreneurs, to remote employees, especially those who split time between Park City and major metropolitan areas, are the main audience.

The Malin Park City will have coworking spaces that fit with the brand’s use of organic materials and natural light.
“While technology makes distributed work possible, it doesn’t replace the value of coming together in person,” McGuigan said.
Shrayber agreed, and said he hopes a space like The Malin will incubate further success: “where a founder launches their next company, where a team decides to put down roots.” Park City can be a hub to business, not just recreation, he said.
“We’re adding to what’s already here, not replacing it,” Shrayber said. “A lot of people in this town are working from home or flying back and forth to offices in other cities. The Malin gives them a home base with the design, the service and the community to match how they actually want to work.”
The Malin will be located at 4413 N. Forestdale Drive. For more information, visit themalin.co.
