p.m. when at least 13 train cars derailed, officials said.Police, firefighters, medics and Hazmat teams responded to the derailment. No injuries were reported and the area was deemed safe after officials determined none of the possibly hazardous materials inside the train cars leaked. Nearby residents were initially told to either evacuate or shelter-in-place. Both the shelter-in-place and evacuation orders were later lifted after officials determined there was no threat to the public. Parts of Bristol Road remains closed between Old Lincoln Highway and Spruce Avenue due to the derailment.
