Bronze Age rock carvings suggest communities across Europe were far more connected than previously thought, according to a new study led by the Department of Archaeology. The research compared ancient rock carvings, or "petroglyphs," of boats across 12 sites in Northwest Iberia (modern Spain and Por tugal) with well-documented petroglyphs in Southern Scandinavia (Sweden and Denmark).
