FISHERS, Ind. (WISH) — It’s a Fishers fixture – the Spark!Fishers Festival drew thousands of festive community members on Saturday.
“Who doesn’t want to spend a summer evening with friends and family, eating delicious food, listening
to amazing music, celebrating fireworks and just seeing what it is to be part of this community?” Stephanie Perry, assistant director of community and public relations for the City of Fishers said.
The free multi-day festival supplying a plethora of music – live bands and DJs – on seven different stages, all named after American founding fathers.
“It’s just a cool opportunity to bring the entire community together,” Mr. Kinetik said, who DJed at the main stage. Kinetik said he was playing “nothing but funky soul music, everything that’s funky and makes people move and makes people feel.”
This year’s festival brought more to its Saturday edition, with the car and arts show moved from its typical Wednesday slot. There was also a thrift-a-thon, where people sold their gently used items.
“This event is uniquely Fishers,” Perry said. “When you’re here, you’re eating from local food vendors, you’re shopping from our local retailers. We’re really celebrating the spirit. In our parade, you’ll see our schools, our marching bands, our local non-profits, our mayor, our chief of police.”
The thousands of attendees, showing their patriotism and pride, not only for their home country, but for their home city. Tiffanie Ditlevson of the Fishers City Council wore a shirt that said “Make Indiana Like Fishers.”
“I’m really excited about my shirt,” she said. “The idea that all of Indiana could be just like the second best suburb in the United States. Low crime, low taxes, and great people, and great schools.”
While Spark!Fishers has concluded for 2026, but Fishers is holding three separate fireworks shows on July 4th.
