A weather alert was issued by the National Weather Service on Sunday at 6:13 a.m. for dense fog until 8:30 a.m. for Orange, Putnam, Rockland and Westchester counties."Areas of fog this morning will be locally dense within the Lower Hudson Valley, interior Northeast New Jersey and Southern Connecticu t. These locally dense patches of fog will reduce visibility to one quarter mile or less. Be prepared for rapidly changing visibilities.
