An employee was fatally shot inside a Philadelphia bar overnight after an argument with a coworker, police said. According to police, officers were called to 227 Bar and Lounge on North 52nd Street, just off Girard Avenue in the city’s Carroll Park neighborhood, after reports of a shooting. Police said an investigation revealed that the shooting happened inside the recently opened bar after it had closed. Two employees were arguing about closing duties when one employee shot the other. The victim, a man believed to be in his 40s or 50s, was taken to a hospital where he died, police said. The suspected shooter fled the business after the incident, according to police. An active search for the suspect is underway.
