From celebration’s of Independence Day and America’s semiquincentennial, to outdoor movies, concerts, and more, July is bringing tons of fun events to the Baltimore area.

vert Street. This Off-Broadway production of (pray) channels the energy and vibrance of a Sunday Baptist Church service, confronting the complexity of spirituality and responsibility to previous generations.
The Crayon King, or Learning to Share, ongoing through Sunday, July 5, Spotlighters Theater. Four kindergarteners (played by adults) engage in a conflict of social status based on the size of one’s crayon box.
Twilight Thursday: Summer Concert Series, ongoing through Thursday, August 13, 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., Foundry Row. Bring your lawn chairs, relax, and enjoy live performances from local bands.
Friday Night Live: Summer Concert Series, ongoing through Friday, August 28, 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., Hunt Valley Towne Centre. Enjoy live music from your favorite local bands, a pre-concert magic show with Liam Laugherty, and free balloon art.
Summer Fridays at The Shops at Kenilworth, ongoing through Friday, August 14 (excludes Friday, July 3), 10:30 a.m., The Shops at Kenilworth. Enjoy visits from family-friendly organizations, including Irvine Nature Center and Port Discovery.
Medieval Mindscapes, ongoing through August 23, Walters Art Museum. Featuring 22 works curated from the Walters’ collection of rare books and manuscripts, this exhibition showcases illustrated prayer books from the Middle Ages. Read more in this Baltimore Fishbowl article.
Fratino and Matisse: To See This Light Again, ongoing through September 6, Baltimore Museum of Art. Displaying their works side by side, this exhibition juxtaposes figure studies, interiors, and still-lifes by Louis Fratino and Henri Matisse.
Week of July 1 through July 5
The Oz Noy Trio featuring Dennis Chambers Brian Charette, Wednesday, July 1, 7 p.m., Keystone Korner. Virtuoso guitarist and composer Oz Noy will perform with Dennis Chamber on drums and Brian Charette on organ.
250th Anniversary Celebration, Friday, July 3, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., The Fire Museum of Maryland. Raise the flag, meet Ben Franklin, enjoy local food trucks, paint a patriotic fire hydrant, and take a ride on a horse-drawn fire hose wagon at this free, family-friendly event.
Nature by the Fire, Friday, July 3, 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., Irvine Nature Center. Warm up by the campfire, roast some marshmallows, and join Naturalist, Ash, for nature themed fun, including a visit from one of Irvine’s animal ambassadors.
Maryland Opera – First Fridays at Boordy Vineyards, Friday, July 3, 7 p.m., Boordy Vineyards. Enjoy a glass of wine and a meal from a local food truck as you experience opera in the great outdoors.
Star Spangled 250, Friday, July 3 and Saturday, July 4, 8 p.m., Oregon Ridge. Pack a picnic, gather friends and family, and enjoy fireworks as the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra celebrate America’s 250th birthday.
Red, White Zoo, Saturday, July 4, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Maryland Zoo. Celebrate Independence Day at the Zoo with a day full of animal encounters, themed enrichment activities, and special anniversary surprises.
250th All-American Bash, Saturday, July 4, 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., BO Railroad Museum. Enjoy live music, lawn games, kids’ activities, free two-stepping lessons, and a rare chance to see the BO Railroad Museum’s American Freedom Train No. 1 Engine. Train rides include free ice cream, and craft beers and BBQ will be available for purchase.
Summer Seafood Bluegrass Festival, Saturday, July 4, 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., Guinness Open Gate Brewery Barrel House. This summer celebration will feature a two-hour all-you-care-to-eat seafood feast, live bluegrass music, and a select discounted menu of Guinness brews.
The Cherry Hill Arts Music Waterfront Festival, Saturday, July 4, 1 p.m. to 10 p.m., Middle Branch Park. Celebrating 10 years, this free, family-friendly festival will feature children’s activities, art making, and a lineup of local, regional, national, and international music acts.
Fourth of July: Park Relax at the BMI, Saturday, July 4, 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., Baltimore Museum of Industry. The BMI will open their waterfront lot for ticket holders to enjoy live music by John Lamkin Favorites Jazz Quintet, outdoor games and activities, and spectacular views of the city’s fireworks display.
Week of July 6 through July 12
Embrace Spontaneity: an Intro to Improv, Monday, July 6, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., Highwire Improv. This two-hour workshop offers a low-pressure, fun experience for newcomers. Connect with others, establish boundaries, and engage in warmups, games, and collaborative scenes.
Jazz Unc Quintet Presents Miles Davis 100, Tuesday, July 7, 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Keystone Korner. Louisville jazz artist Joshua Polion will perform with Ahmed Warshanna on guitar, Tomás Jonsson on piano, Christopher Law on bass, and Claudio Silva on drums.
The Afrofuturist Summer Book Series: Tahira Chloe Mahdi and Lawrence Brown, Wednesday, July 8, 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., The Ivy Bookshop. Join Dr. Lawrence Brown on The Ivy patio as he welcomes Tahira Chloe Mahdi, author of “This Is Not How It Was Supposed to Go” and “Caught Out There: A Black Platonic Comedy Screenplay.”
Lea Salonga with the BSO, Wednesday, July 8, 7:30 p.m., Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall. “Disney Legend” and Tony Award–winning vocalist Lea Salonga will join the BSO for a night of Broadway and film favorites.
Benson Boone, Wednesday, July 8, doors open at 6:30 p.m., event begins at 8 p.m., CFG Bank Arena. Benson Boone grabbed everyone’s attention with his hit song “Beautiful Things.” Then, he did it again with his backflip off a piano at the 2025 Grammy Awards show. Needless to say, he’s a “Wanted Man.” Catch his concert in Baltimore — backflips and magic included.
The Amazing Acro-Cats, Thursday, July 9 through Sunday, July 26, The Theater at Creative Alliance. As featured on Netflix, this troupe of trained house cats, all former orphans, rescues, and strays, give a one-of-a-kind, 90 minute purrformance that includes cats riding skateboards, jumping through hoops, and performing other feats of agility and acrobatics. Flicks From the Hill: The Wiz, Thursday, July 9, pre-film activities begin at 5 p.m., movie starts at 8:45 p.m., American Visionary Art Museum. Bring blankets, lawn chairs, and your favorite snacks, and enjoy a free outdoor movie on the big screen. Popcorn and sodas will be available for purchase, and food trucks are to be announced.
Profs Pints Metro Baltimore: Terrors of Irish Fairylore, Thursday, July 9, 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Guinness Open Gate Brewery Barrel House. Join Brittany Warman, former instructor at Ohio State University, co-founder of The Carterhaugh School of Folklore and the Fantastic, and co-author of the new book “Fairylore: A Compendium of the Fae Folk,” for an introduction to Ireland’s strange and unsettling folkloric “Good People.”
Baltimore Caribbean Festival, Friday, July 10 through Sunday, July 12, Druid Hill Park. Officially known as the Baltimore Washington One Carnival, this free, family-friendly event will feature a Caribbean-style parade, live music, and traditional Caribbean food. Candlelight: Tribute to The Beatles, Friday, July 10, 6:30 p.m. to 7:45 p.m., Baltimore Museum of Art. In this classical tribute, Listeso String Quartet will perform Beatles favorites under the gentle glow of candlelight.
Armor For Sleep, Friday, July 10, doors 6:30 p.m., show 7:30 p.m., Baltimore Soundstage. Armor For Sleep will make a stop in Baltimore with special guests Spanish Love Songs and Flycatcher.
The Second Saturday S#!T Show feat. RJ Jackson, Saturday, July 11, doors and happy hour at 7 p.m., show at 8 p.m., Ottobar. Join host Mike Quindlen as he welcomes comedians RJ Jackson, Jamar Taylor, Karan Singh, Davine Ker, and Chris Lawrence to the stage.
Brilliant Beginnings: Mozart and Beethoven, Saturday, July 11, 7:30 p.m., Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall. Finnish pianist Juho Pohjonen and the BSO will perform Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 12 with the First Symphonies of Mozart and Beethoven.
Big 3 Anime Rave, Saturday, July 11, 9 p.m., Baltimore Soundstage. The Big 3 Anime Rave is back with Part VI, promising cosplay, video games, a power up contest, and more.
Week of July 13 through July 19
Alex Snider with Sharon Calvano and Pete Davis: Sometimes You Should be Late, Monday, July 13, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., The Ivy Bookshop. Join The Ivy for an evening inspired by Alex Snider’s new book, “Sometimes You Should Be Late: The Quiet Rebellion of Slowing Down in a World Obsessed with Speed.”
Wine Tasting: Sip with a Purpose, Wednesday, July 15, 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., Artisan House. in support of Carter G. Cares, enjoy an evening of a guided tasting exploring six fine wines paired with light bites.
BARCS x Under Armour UnderDog Adoption Day, Thursday, July 16, 4 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Outside the Under Armour Brand House Campus Store. Under Armour and BARCS (Baltimore Animal Rescue Care Shelter) will host a family-friendly outdoor adoption event at Baltimore Peninsula, helping connect adoptable dogs and cats with loving homes.
A Midsummer Night at Boordy, Thursday, July 16, 7 p.m., Boordy Vineyards. Unwind under the summer sky with Mozart’s Flute Concerto and Mendelssohn’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, performed by the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra.
Train – Drops of Jupiter: 25 Years in the Atmosphere, Friday, July 17, gates 5:15 p.m., show 6:45 p.m., Merriweather Post Pavilion. On tour with Barenaked Ladies and Matt Nathanson, Train celebrates the 25th anniversary of the their second studio album.
Stabbing Westward, Friday, July 17, doors 7 p.m., show 7:30 p.m., Baltimore Soundstage. Celebrating 30 years of “Wither Blister Burn + Peel,” Stabbing Westward is stopping by Soundstage with special guests Priest and Acumen Nation.
World Snake Day 2026, Saturday, July 18, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., Irvine Nature Center. Join Irvine Naturalist Manager of School Programs, Brittany Roger, as she leads visitors on a day of learning and exploration, including a morning herp hike, an afternoon Snakes Around the World presentation, and an evening Animal Art program.
Sunset Concert with Talbot Mayo, Saturday, July 18, 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Star Bright Farm. Relax on the hillside by the lavender field and enjoy old style country music, written and performed by Maryland musician Talbot Mayo.
Tame Impala, Saturday, July 18, and Sunday, July 19, 7 p.m. both nights, CFG Bank Arena. Tame Impala, the indie music project of Australian singer Kevin Parker, is bringing The Deadbeat Tour to Baltimore for two nights.
Warner Bros. Discovery Presents: Bugs Bunny at the Symphony, Saturday, July 18 and Sunday, July 19, Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall. Seventeen classic animated shorts will light up the big screen while the BSO performs their brilliant scores live.
I Wanna Dance With Somebody….before 9pm…An early bird dance party! Saturday, July 18, 5 p.m., Ottobar. This two-room takeover will feature an 80s dance party with DJ Bomb Trax upstairs and a 90s Dance Party with DJ Nu Kicks downstairs.

Trampled by Turtles, Monday, July 20, 7 p.m., Pier Six Pavilion. On their 2026 Tour, Trampled by Turtles will perform live with Richy Mitch The Coal Miners.
Death Cab for Cutie, Tuesday, July 21, gates 5:30 p.m., show 7 p.m., Merriweather Post Pavilion. Joined by Japanese Breakfast, Death Cab for Cutie will make a stop in Columbia.
Profs Pints Metro Baltimore: Brain Stories, Thursday, July 23, 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Guinness Open Gate Brewery Barrel House. Take a crash course on the basics of neuroscience with Stuart McCaughey, assistant professor at the University of Delaware.
