Construction worker critically injured in Southwest Philly hitandrun

A construction worker was critically injured in a hit-and-run crash Thursday morning in Southwest Philadelphia, according to the Philadelphia Police Department.
The incident happened at approximately 6:50 a.m. on June 25 in the 5800 block of Lindbergh Boulevard.
According to police, the constr
uction worker, identified as a 24-year-old man, was standing in the bike lane placing traffic cones for an active construction zone when an unknown car veered into the bike lane to bypass stopped traffic and struck the worker.
Officials said the driver did not stop and left the scene immediately after the crash.
First responders transported the victim to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where he was listed in critical condition, police said.
The suspect vehicle was described as a light-colored Nissan sedan, possibly silver or white.
Information regarding the car’s model, license plate or the driver’s identity is still unknown.
