A 41-year-old man is accused of sexually abusing a 6-year-old girl over the weekend in the Chatham neighborhood. James Spencer was charged with one felony count of aggravated criminal sexual abuse of a victim under 13 for an alleged attack Saturday in the first block of West 87th Street on Saturday, police said. Spencer, of the 6600 block of South Perry Avenue, was arrested Wednesday in the 6600 block of South Perry Avenue and was scheduled for a detention hearing Thursday at the Leighton Criminal Courthouse.
