Popular frozen foods brand issues recall for possible plastic contamination

MorningStar Farms has announced it is recalling two products due to plastic pieces potentially being in them, according to a release shared by the Food and Drug Administration.
The company, which announced the recall on June 18, is recalling the following items, which were sold in the United Sta
tes, Puerto Rico and Costa Rica.
MorningStar Farms Buffalo Chikn’n Nuggets (10.5 oz.): The product features UPC code 000 28989 10110 5 with a better if used before date of July 7, 2027 and July 8, 2027.
MorningStar Farms Hot and Spicy Sausage Patties (8 oz): The product features UPC code000 28989 10094 8 with a better if used before date of July 5, 2027, July 6, 2027 and July 7, 2027.
Anyone who bought the recalled items are advised to throw them out and contact MorningStar Farms’ consumer affairs division Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. ET, at 800-962-0120. They can also text 877-453-5837.
No other MorningStar Farms items are affected by the recall. There is no word if any illnesses were reported in connection with it.
