The Norristown Area School District said Sunday that it has selected Dr. Dorrell Green, who was named the 2026 Delaware Superintendent of the Year, as their new superintendent. Green has been working in public education for 25 years, and has worked as the superintendent for the ed Clay Consolida ted School District in Delaware since 2019. “As Superintendent of Red Clay Consolidated School District since 2019, he leads one of Delaware’s largest and most diverse school systems, serving approximately 15,000 students across 28 schools,” the NASD said in their press release. “Throughout his career, he has earned a reputation as a collaborative leader committed to student achievement and educational equity and was recently named the 2026 Delaware Superintendent of the Year.” The NASD Board of School Directors will vote on Green’s selection at their upcoming meeting on Monday, June 22. ...read more read less
