CHARLOTTE, N.C. – If you’ve been waiting for a stretch of great weather to get outside, this weekend is exactly what you’ve been looking for! Tonight will be quiet and comfortable across the region, with partly cloudy skies and overnight temperatures dropping to the mid 60s. A light no rth wind will help keep the air feeling pleasant, making for a great evening to spend outdoors. As we head into Saturday, the weather couldn’t get much better for June in the Carolinas. Expect a mix of sunshine and a few passing clouds with afternoon temperatures climbing into the mid to upper 80s. Humidity levels will be lower than what we’ve experienced recently, making it feel noticeably more comfortable. Whether you’re heading to the golf course, spending time at the lake, washing the car, or tackling some yard work, Saturday is easily the pick of the weekend. Father’s Day on Sunday is looking just as nice, although temperatures will be a little warmer. Expect plenty of sunshine with highs reaching the lower 90s during the afternoon. Most locations will stay dry throughout the day, but there is a small chance for an isolated shower or thunderstorm to develop during the evening hours. If you have plans for a Father’s Day cookout or outdoor celebration, the afternoon looks like your best bet before any spotty showers try to pop up later. On top of that, Summer officially begins Sunday at 4:24 am!
