A 43-year-old man was shot and killed early Thursday in North Philadelphia, police said. According to police, officers responded just after 1 a.m., Thursday, June 18, 2026 to the 2000 block of North 29th Street, where they found a man lying on the ground. Police said the man had been shot thre e times. He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he died a short time later. Real-time crime cameras showed that the man was involved in a physical fight with another man shortly before the shooting, according to police. At that scene, police said investigators found 5 spent shell casings from a semi-automatic weapon. Police said the victim’s identity is being withheld until the family is notified.
