A 43-year-old man was shot and killed early Thursday in Philadelphia’s Strawberry Mansion neighborhood, police said. According to police, officers responded just after 1 a.m., Thursday, June 18, 2026 to the area of 29th Street and Ridge Avenue, where they found a man lying on the ground. Pol ice said the man had been shot three times. He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he died. Real-time crime cameras showed that the man was involved in a physical fight with another man shortly before the shooting, according to police. At that scene, police said investigators found 5 spent shell casings from a semi-automatic weapon. Police are still searching for the suspected shooter as the investigation continues.
