A teenager who was riding an e-bike was struck and killed by a UPS truck in Southampton Township, New Jersey, state police confirmed with NBC10. The crash occurred on Tuesday, June 16, around 10:45 a.m. on 3 Tranquility Court. New Jersey State police confirmed a teenager was riding an e-bike in t he area when they were struck and killed by a UPS truck. They have not yet revealed the teen’s age or identity. “We are heartbroken by the tragic accident in Southampton Township, NJ. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family and loved ones,” a UPS spokesperson wrote. “We are fully cooperating with authorities to understand what happened. Since this is an active investigation, we must refer any additional questions to the authorities.” Under a new law, riders must be at least 15-years-old to operate an e-bike in New Jersey starting in July.
