Six people, including three teenagers, were hurt in an apparent acid attack in Jersey City carried out by a minor, according to police. Two people on a moped drove past the group on Wilkinson Avenue on Monday and threw what is believed to be sulfuric acid on them, police said. One of the victims , a 21-year-old woman, was taken to the Saint Barnabas Burn Unit for second-degree burns to her face and scalp. The extent of the injuries to the other victims was not immediately clear. A preliminary investigation found that the attack may have stemmed from a dispute between a large group of people earlier in the day. Police said Tuesday that a minor was arrested in connection with the attack, with charges still pending. No details have been released regarding the second person believed to be involved.
