A wave of violence swept through Philadelphia overnight, leaving four individuals injured, including a 17-year-old boy who is in critical condition. The incidents included multiple shootings and a stabbing, here what we know: Man shot during parking dispute Police said just before 11 p.m. on Monday, June 15, officers responded to reports of gunshots on the 5900 block of Jackson Street. When officers got to the scene, police said they found witnesses and a crime scene, but no victim. They were told that a man had been shot in the leg and taken to a nearby fire station in a private vehicle. Investigators learned that firefighters transported a 31-year-old man to a nearby hospital, where he is listed in stable condition. Back at the scene, police said officers found one spent shell casing in a rear parking lot behind apartments. Police said preliminary information indicates that the shooting appears to have stemmed from a parking dispute. The shooter, a 28-year-old man, stayed on the scene and is cooperating with the investigation. A weapon was recovered inside one of the apartments at the scene, police added. Woman shot in front of her own home In another incident, police said just before 11:30 p.m., on Monday, June 15, officers responded to reports of gunshots on the 600 block of North 12th Street. Police said when officers arrived on the scene, they found a 35-year-old woman on the sidewalk across from her own home, suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. Officers rushed her to a nearby hospital where she is listed in stable condition. At the scene, police said investigators found four spent shell casings near her front door and front lawn. Police reported that the front living room window of the woman’s home had a large hole broken into it, with a large rock found inside. Investigators believe that someone may have thrown the rock through the window, potentially triggering the shooting, however the motive remains unclear at this time. The potential suspect is described as a man, last seen wearing a red hooded sweatshirt. Teen in critical condition after being stabbed According to the Philadelphia Police Department, just after 11:30 p.m. on Monday, June 15, officers responded to the 4700 block of North 15th Street for a stabbing.When officers got to the scene, police said they found a 17-year-old boy with multiple stab wounds to his back and one stab wound to his leg. He was quickly rushed to the hospital and is currently in critical condition.Police reported that officers followed a blood trail two blocks south to the 4500 block of North Carlisle Street, where they believe the stabbing happened.Witnesses reported to officers that a large party had taken place on the block near Carlisle Street and Lindley Avenue, leading to a fight involving several people, including the 17-year-old who was then stabbed. Investigators hope private surveillance cameras on the block will help with the investigation. Man riding e-bike shot Police said just after 3 a.m., on Tuesday, June 16, officers were called to the area near 26th Street and Indiana Avenue after receiving reports of gunshots. Officers at the scene found a 52-year-old man lying in the street with a gunshot wound to his face, according to police. He was rushed to a nearby hospital and placed in stable condition. Investigators said the motive behind the shooting appears to be robbery. The man told investigators that he was riding an electric bike when the shooter took it, shot him in the face and rode off. The bike was found about a half-block away on the the 3000 block of Bambrey Street. The bike had a flat back tire, which may be why the shooter abandoned in, investigators shared. At the scene, police discovered spent shell casings near where the victim and his helmet were found. The shooter is described as a man, last seen wearing all dark clothing and a ski mask, police said. Investigators are reviewing surveillance footage from nearby homes and businesses to piece together what happened.
