As throngs of Knicks fans line the streets of Lower Manhattan Thursday morning to honor our NBA champions, they may be getting a little wet. Scattered showers will move through the tri-state Thursday morning, but hopefully most of them stay north of the city. At this point, heavy rain and lightning look unlikely. The best chance for strong to severe storms will probably come later in the day.  Nearly the entire region is in a zone of potential risk for severe storms. One thing is certain, though: It will be noticeably warmer and more humid than the pristine early-week weather we’ve enjoyed.
