8 Ky. hospitals warned to provide more price information; 1 has since been removed from list

Eight Kentucky hospitals are among a list of over 500 hospitals nationwide that the Trump administration has warned are failing to provide transparent pricing information, the Associated Press reports. WKYT-TV reports that one of the hospita
ls has since been removed from the list.
The AP reported on June 9 that it had secured the list of hospitals that since April have either received letters of warning or requests to submit plans to provide pricing information.
Failure to comply with the warnings comes with fines as high as $2 million annually for facilities that do not create a plan to release clear pricing data, according to AP.
The eight Kentucky hospitals included in the list provided by the AP are:
Cumberland Hall Hospital, Hopkinsville
Eastern State Hospital, Lexington
Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Lakeview, Elizabethtown (See update at bottom of story.)
Hazard ARH Regional Medical Center
Marshall County Hospital, Benton
Pikeville Medical Center
Sun Behavioral Health, Erlanger
UofL Health Jewish Hospital
Cumberland Hall Hospital, Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Lakeview, Hazard ARH Regional Medical Center, Marshall County Hospital and Pikeville Medical Center received warning notices.
Eastern State Hospital, Sun Behavioral Health and UofL Health Jewish Hospital received Corrective Action Plan requests.
UPDATE: WKYT-TV reports that a spokesperson for Encompass Health said in a release to WKYT that a formatting error at the location was corrected. The Centers for Medicare Medicaid Services accepted the updated file for this hospital, confirming compliance.
