Lincoln Police Cruiser (Jeff Motz/KFOR News)LINCOLN–(KFOR June 15)–There was a fight, then gunshots and a pursuit in north Lincoln late Sunday night that later led to three people being taken in by Lincoln Police. According to LPD in a conversation with KFOR News early Monday morning,  it start ed with the report of the fight and gunshots in the area of Portia Street and Knox Street in northwest Lincoln.  A responding officer saw an SUV leave the area and after an attempted traffic stop, later led to a pursuit that ended west of 48th and Cornhusker.  That’s where the SUV became disabled through all the road work happening. LPD says the SUV tore up the road where construction is happening, taking out chunks of concrete. Three people were seen fleeing the area and were later caught between 44th and 48th Streets south of Cornhusker and south of the railroad tracks. A 23-year-old woman, 19-year-old man and 20-year-old man were taken into custody. No reports of injuries regarding the gunfire. The investigation is ongoing. ...read more read less
