FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WISH) — Indiana Michigan Power announced Tuesday that the company will temporarily suspend disconnecting customers’ power for nonpayment on Wednesday. In a release, IM says they want their customers and employees to be healthy and safe as temperatures continue to climb. The company says it will continue to monitor weather conditions in the days ahead and extend the moratorium on disconnects as needed. IM is reminding everyone that their employees are working in this heat. “If customers see IM crews not actively working or sitting in trucks, please know our employees are taking scheduled breaks to hydrate and avoid heat-related illnesses so they can continue providing safe and reliable power to thehomes and businesses we serve.” Customers can find information about payment assistance and other bill-related issues throughIM’s Bill Support Center or by calling 1-800-311-4634. ...read more read less
