San Diego weather: Warming trend begins
Jun 09, 2026
Our morning marine layer hasn’t moved as far inland and will have an easy time clearing the coast today. The afternoon will be warmer as high pressure starts to take over. The warming trend will last through the rest of the week with the warmest day being Friday. High temperatures should be arou
nd 8-10 degrees above normal by then. Humidity will increase starting Wednesday as moisture from the South moves up.
At the beaches, the surf is up right now. Waves will be about 4’-6’ with sets near 7 feet the next couple of days, and rip current danger is high. So, while surfing conditions look really good, inexperienced swimmers should stay out of the water, or swim near a lifeguard.
So far the weekend will be unseasonably warm and dry.
