6 PM WEATHER 6-7-26 INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A warm humid week is ahead with additional rain storms on the way. SUNDAY EVENING/NIGHT: Scattered storms with torrential rainfall will linger this evening, especially north of Indianapolis. Partly to mostly cloudy overnight with a chance of a few spotty showers storms. Most of us should remains dry… but it’s going to be very muggy with lows around 70. MONDAY: Numerous showers and storms are expected to develop during the day. While the threat of severe weather remains low, there is an elevated risk of flooding wherever heavier rain storms end up developing.  Highs should be in the low to mid 80s. MONDAY NIGHT:  Mostly cloudy. A continuing chance of a few showers storms. Muggy lows in the upper 60s to around 70. TUESDAY: More showers storms are likely. Locally heavy rain remains possible. Highs should climb back into the mid 80s. MID/LATE WEEK: Showers and storms remain in the forecast.  More coverage could occur late Thursday, Thursday night, and Friday morning as a stronger disturbance and front passes through the region.  Some additional strong to severe storms could occur during this time.  Highs stay in the 80s with plenty of humidity around. The level of humidity could drop just a bit by Friday afternoon and Saturday but time will tell.   The combination of highs in the upper 80s and high humidity both Wednesday Thursday could push the heat index close to 100°. NEXT WEEKEND: There are some early signs that next Saturday may end up on the warm but mostly dry side for a change.
