A woman is in custody after a shooting inside a hotel in Philadelphia left a man injured Sunday morning, police said. According to the Philadelphia Police Department, officers responded at around 10:20 a.m. on Sunday, June 7, 2026 to a report of a shooting at the Hilton on the 200 block of South Christopher Columbus Boulevard. Upon arrival, police said officers found a 25-year-old woman in the lobby who identified herself as the shooter and surrendered her firearm to police. She was taken into custody at the scene. Police said responding officers and medical personnel also found the victim, a 25-year-old man, in a nearby stairway suffering from a gunshot wound to the neck. Medics transported the man to a nearby hospital, and he is listed in stable condition. According to police, preliminary evidence indicates a physical altercation took place inside a 9th-floor hotel room before the shooting. Investigators are also looking into reports of domestic disputes between the individuals prior to the incident. Police said the woman was transported to a local hospital for medical evaluation of injuries sustained during the altercation.
