A Redwood City company developed a pill to treat one of the deadliest types of cancers, and is showing promising results. The experimental drug is called daraxonrasib and it was developed by Revolution Medicines. The pill is for patients with pancreatic cancer and is taken once daily. In a rec ent trial, patients with pancreatic cancer saw their survival rates double from about six and a half months with chemotherapy, to more than 13 months with the new pill. The results were so promising the pill is now being fast-tracked by the FDA.
