CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A local nonprofit is celebrating a major milestone. Beds for Kids officially opened its new north Charlotte warehouse on Thursday. This, as the organization marks 15 years of service in the Charlotte community. What started with a few donated beds in a garage has grown into a full-scale furniture bank. The organization’s Executive Director says this warehouse will allow them to help more families. Zach Smith says, “I’m so excited. It’s been a long journey to get to this point, but just to know that when we roll out of here today, families are going to start getting blessed with beds and furniture.
