A permanent tribute to the late, beloved Philadelphia radio host, Pierre Robert, now has a place in Rittenhouse Square. A bench dedicated to the longtime WMMR host was unveiled during a special ceremony on Sunday, May 31, 2026. The bench is the same one Robert was photographed sitting on in a social media post the Sunday before his death in October. Matt Cord, a close friend of Robert’s who took over hosting duties at WMMR, organized the dedication ceremony. Hundreds of people came out to support. Robert was found dead inside his home on Wednesday, Oct. 29, according to Beasley Media Group. He was 70 years old. No cause of death has been announced.  Robert inspired generations of listeners during his 44-year career in Philadelphia radio.
