Homegrown candidate
May 30, 2026
I am supporting Luke Searle for Utah State House District 59 because he brings something our community truly needs: effective leadership grounded in local experience and real connection to the people he represents.
Luke isn’t just talking about our community — he’s lived it. He grew up in
Heber Valley, has spent the past 20 years building life here, and is now raising his family here. As a husband and father of three, educator at Wasatch High School and CAPS, and current member of the Wasatch County Council, Luke has consistently shown up for the Wasatch Back.
He understands first hand the challenges we face — affordability, growth and protecting the character of our communities — and he’s focused on practical, local-driven solutions. He knows how to work with others, and he know how to get things done while keeping constituents front and center.
Just as importantly, Luke is running a positive, issues-focused campaign that reflects the kind of leadership he’ll bring to the Capitol — respectful, grounded, and focused on solutions. That approach stands in clear contrast to the tone we sometime see in politics today.
This race comes down to perspective. Luke’s roots are here. His work is here. His investment is here. He believes our community deserves leadership that reflects our values — not ideas imported from entirely different places.
