A natural gas explosion has destroyed a residential building in the Oak Cliff area of Dallas, injuring at least one person. Dallas Fire-Rescue told NBC 5 they were called to a large fire triggered by a gas explosion at a residential building on East 9th Street near North Patton Avenue. Heavy s moke was visible coming from the structure. Texas Sky Ranger flew over the building, which appeared to be totally destroyed. The flames appeared to have spread to at least one vehicle parked near the apartment building. Further details about what led to the explosion are unclear. The building is about a block from WH Adamson High School. Officials with the Dallas ISD said the school dismissed for summer break on Wednesday.
