San Diego weather: Cool, breezy start to the week
May 22, 2026
After a cloudy start, and even a little light drizzle in a few places this morning, it has turned into a nice Memorial Day Monday.
The marine layer will continue to deepen over the next couple nights. So, we’ll start out gray with another chance for light drizzle, and then only partial clearing
for a lot of areas on Tuesday and Wednesday.
A low-pressure system will bring cooler temperatures and some gusty winds for the next couple days. The mountains and deserts will be under a WIND ADVISORY from Tuesday afternoon through Thursday morning.
The stronger onshore flow will also bring in cooler air. So, temperatures will cool a few degrees through the middle of the week before warming back up by next weekend.
TUESDAY
Coast: Mid to upper 60s
Valleys: upper 60s to low 70s
Mountains: mid to upper 50s
Deserts: sunny – mid 80s
