Commuters looking to travel via mass transit to and from Memorial Day events across the region should be aware that SEPTA, NJ Transit and PATCO are all operating on modified schedules due to the holiday. NJ Transit On Monday, May 25, 2026, NJ Transit is running on a modified schedule. Trains, officials said, will operate on a weekend/major holiday schedule on all lines. The Bay Head-Long Branch shuttle is enhanced to hourly service from approximately 8 a.m. until 10 p.m. Bus schedules could vary by route, officials said, and customers were being advised to check their time tables or visit njtransit.com for updated schedule information. Light rail schedules will be as follows: Hudson-Bergen Light Rail will operate on a weekend schedule. Newark Light Rail will operate on a Saturday schedule.
