Memorial Day
National Medal of Honor Museum
The National Medal of Honor Museum Foundation in Arlington will have a memorial tribute with hundreds of flags st
anding on the Museum’s lawn, each representing a life given in service to our country. The museum will also have the Fallen Comrade Table, also known as the “Missing Man Table,” allowing visitors to reflect on those who are missing and those who never returned.
DeSoto Memorial Day Weekend
DeSoto is hosting a Memorial Day Military Appreciation 5k Walk/Run on Saturday, starting at 8 a.m. Participation is free, and donations are encouraged.
Carry the Load
Honor and remember our nation’s heroes at Carry The Load’s signature event in Reverchon Park. Opening ceremonies begin at 4 p.m. on Sunday, and events run through Monday afternoon.
97th Annual Fort Worth Memorial Day Service
Mount Olivet Cemetery Association will host the annual event, bringing together veterans, local leaders and families to honor the fallen service members. The event starts at 10 a.m. on Monday.
Mesquite Memorial Day Remembrance
The City of Mesquite will honor veterans at a community event with ceremonial activities and remarks from community leaders, City officials, and veterans. The event will be held on Monday from 2:55 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Memorial Day at Grandscape
Grandscape, in partnership with American Legion Post 21, will host an Honor and Remembrance Ceremony for those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. The event is on Monday from 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

Blues in the Bottom
Oak Cliff is celebrating the life and legacy of the late T-Bone Walker! The free concert is Saturday, May 23 from 1-6 p.m. at Eloise Lundy Park, 1200 Sabine St., Dallas.
Halperin Park
This weekend, the park is hosting a movie night, pilates in the park, community story time, a bookmobile and more! Check out the full weekend schedule here.
Parade of Playhouses
The annual Dallas CASA Parade of Playhouses opens at NorthPark Center on Friday.
5th Annual AANHPI Celebration
ATT Discovery District is celebrating Asian American, Native Hawaiian, Pacific Islander heritage from 2-6 p.m. on Saturday. Celebrate with performances, food and a DJ. At 7 p.m., settle in for a movie on the lawn.
Festivals
Dream Fest
“Arlington’s biggest block party,” DreamFest 2026, kicks off Friday night at the Levitt Pavilion, featuring three days of free concerts. Admission and parking are free.
Scarborough Renaissance Festival
Head out to Waxahachie for the one Last Huzzah as Scarborough closes out its 45th season with a grand celebration. On Memorial Day, there will be a Veterans Parade and Fallen Heroes Tribute.
Boots BBQ Fest
Enjoy live music, dancing, shopping and BBQ plates at Legacy Hall’s 7th annual Boots BBQ Fest. Doors open at 1 p.m on Sunday. Reserve your BBQ plate ahead of time and buy tickets here.
Expo Tequila Mezcal
Head to Grandescape in The Colony on Saturday from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. for a day of tastings, live music and more. General tickets are $35, and VIP tickets are $50.
Music
Top Gun: Maverick in Concert
The Dallas Symphony Orchestra performs the score live as the movie is projected on the big screen at the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center. There are showings Friday through Sunday.
Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra – An Evening in Finland
Spend an evening in Finland with the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra. To close out the season, Maestro Spano leads the orchestra through Sibelius’ second symphony. There are three shows throughout the weekend.
Pitbull concert
Mr. Worldwide is back in DFW with Lil Jon and DJ Laz. You can see the rapper and singer-songwriter at Dos Equis Pavilion on Saturday.

Catch MGK in concert at the Dos Equis Pavilion on Sunday night.
Live music at Community Beer Co.
Celebrate Memorial Day weekend with live music all weekend at Community Beer Co. in Dallas. Enjoy music from KC Johns, Unwound: George Strait Tribute Band and Super Kilo. Also check out the cornhole tournament at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
