Memorial Day weekend has nearly arrived, and to kick off the unofficial start of summer, Dunkin’ is bringing back its viral Iced Beverage Buckets to participating Dunkin’ locations — now nationwide — on May 22 for a limited time, while supplies last. Customers c an buy the 48-ounce buckets filled with Dunkin’s iced coffee or Refreshers for $12.99. Here’s the catch: Only 25 of them will be sold at each store. Dunkin’ has a new Cherry Lime Rickey Refresher with Black Cherry and Limeade flavor as an option to fill your pail and, as usual, customers can combine this new flavor with any of its existing ones. Dunkin’ suggests a Raspberry Limeade, Coconut Limeade, Matcha Limeade or a Strawberry Dragonfruit Limeade Refresher. The buckets are “perfect for beach days, road trips, backyard hangs and everything in between,” says Dunkin’, so there will be at least one TODAY show reporter sipping on it while binge-watching a show. Also this holiday weekend, Dunkin’ Rewards members get the following perks: May 20 — 24: Three times points on Refreshers as part of Dunkin’s Drink of the Week monthly bonus feature May 25 — 31: 50 base points or 100 boosted points each day customers visit after 1 p.m. as part of its Afternoon Steeak offer (A “boosted point” is for members of Dunkin’s VIP loyalty tier where those who visit more than 12 times in a month are upgraded to “Boosted” status and get double the points in the rewards program.) The Dunkin’ drink buckets first went viral when they were tested in a regional Dunkin’ in New Hampshire, leading to an onslaught of TikToks about the oversized recepticle. It then got the attention of the TODAY co-hosts, who tried it on the show March 2. Carson Daly called the drinks “so America,” as he, Jenna Bush Hager, Hoda Kotb, Craig Melvin and Sheinelle Jones all jostled the icy liquids in theirs with wonder.
