The Dallas Police Association is helping raise money for an officer who was seriously injured in a plane crash over the weekend. Three off-duty Dallas Police Officers were taken to the hospital after a single-engine plane crashed in Kaufman County Saturday morning. The Dallas Police Associati on confirmed the officers were returning from a personal trip when the incident occurred. Two officers sustained minor injuries and were released from the hospital, while Sergeant Joshua Boykin remains in the hospital with significant injuries. “Right now it’s one small step at a time, and it’s getting him breathing on his own, and then the next step is getting him out of the hospital and getting him home. But to make that happen, you now, we need to make sure we can make some accommodations for him at home,” Dallas Police Association President Sean Pease said.
